Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, singer-songwriter and guitarist Meli Levi (Mehl-Lee Lee-Vigh, they/she) has recently returned to music after a transformative 5-year hiatus away, studying meditation-based healing techniques with a master full-time. Their time spent diving into the depths of meditation ignited an unprecedented fire of creativity, pushing forth brazenly honest writing and melodically euphoric progressions. 

Unconfined by genre, driven by the underlying emotions of each song, Meli’s aesthetic has been best described as a mix of folk-rock and alt-rock with a splash of pop. Skillfully uniting boldness and delicacy across a rapidly expanding repertoire, Meli Levi is a gifted artist who has overcome adversity as a queer person to rise as one of the most exciting up and coming musical artists of our time.

Meli's songwriting and performing have gained significant recognition; winning 2nd place in the Alternative Category of the West Coast Songwriters International Songwriting Contest, and being awarded 4th place at the Seattle Wave Radio Contest. Meli’s recent entry for the globally renowned Tiny Desk Contest was named a KALW 91.7 FM San Francisco's local favorite.  Having shared stages with the likes of Brandi Carlile, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), and Bitch, Meli's ability to enchant and engage a live audience is undeniable.

Meli’s re-entry into the scene was marked by their debut album EP ‘Crowned’, which was released in 2023 to critical acclaim. Meli quickly asserted themself as a naturally captivating modern artist — the magnitude of their writing and the faultless soul of their sound united across four uniquely poetic and memorable songs. Full-band arrangements elevate the singer-songwriter purity and soul-kissed versatility of Meli’s voice and writing in an addictively bold, bright, and beautiful way. 

Today, they write with a reverence for the transformative capabilities of music; “A song can recall a powerful memory or inspire someone to forgive a person they’ve been upset with—music has that power—and I try to be aware of what I put out into the world with my songs”.

Their upcoming release, the EP All Things May Be, is a warmly emotive patchwork of memories and moments. Meli produced the five-song collection at Boxer Lodge Studios in Napa, CA. All Things May Be has been preceded by the single “Echo In A Valley”, which showcases their unique guitar stylings and dexterous voice; "prairie-dog cuteness of Brandi Carlile...but can crescendo like Jeff Buckley...” - Seattle Sound Magazine.

Meli Levi will be touring Northern California and the Pacific Northwest Summer 2024 in support of  their newest EP "All Things May Be", set for release on 5/31/24
